Blog Posting - Music Marketing #1

We have been assigned the genre of country music for our music marketing project, which will influence both our presentation and music video. We were motivated to make a narrative-driven video that tackles themes like love, personal development, and relatable life experiences by the strong emphasis on storytelling and emotional connection found in country music. The focus of our marketing campaign will be authenticity, with the goal of appealing to a modern audience while staying consistent with the traditions and ideals of country music. As part of the campaign, we are creating the brand identity for Salina, Kansas-based country music artist Faye Harper. Posting country covers on YouTube and TikTok helped Faye become well-known and develop an online fan base. At the age of 23, she relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, and after attracting the attention of Capitol Records Nashville, she released her song "Need You Now". Her brand will combine her small-town upbringing with the vigor and aspirations of Nashville's music scene, emphasizing relatability, authenticity, and a deep connection to her roots. In order to ensure that her story is represented in every facet of our campaign, we want to emphasize her journey from social media presence to rising country star as we develop her identity.
